Creating a Rose the Owl Plush Stuffed Animal from the book "Why Me, Mama?" Acorn Cottage Press's mission is to create authentic and empowering disability representation for children. My hope is to donate Rose the Owl plushies to disabled children.

Thank you all so much for your support - seeing the community come together time and again to support children with disabilities and prioritize representing differences and disability so that everyone can see that they matter and have value lights me up - so thank you!

The ODD Dog Picture Book & Rose the Owl Plush Collaboration!

I"m collaborating with Leia Barrett, a fellow children's book author. Her book campaign ends in a few days as well. Her book is called "The Odd Dog" and is the story of a rescue learning to live with a family for the first time. It's really sweet and will include real dogs as extras. Have you ever dreamed of creating a plush stuffed toy but have no idea how to start? Wondering if you should take the LEAP to take your book and illustrations off the page... Perhaps you are just curious about how the process works - Join an ASK ME ANYTHING zoom with me on Wednesday, June 26th at 2pm EST (this will also be recorded and shared out)

Acorn Cottage Press NOW has a Little Free Library!

When my husband asked me what I would like for my birthday this year - I asked for a Little Free Library. Arden lovingly created this beautiful library over the past several months and installed it for me this past weekend. A bunch of Authors who write about Disability and Neurodiversity generously donated their books to feature in the launch and I am so excited to have this now be a resource for our local community.
